the copier to my computer so I can print?
A: Please visit our download section to download printer
installation instructions.
Q: Can my business
afford a color copier?
A: If your business is outsourcing 300 or more color prints
a month or making 800 or more color copies a month on an
inkjet or laser printer, we can provide you with a new Konica
Minolta Color Copier/Printer including lease, service and
toner for what you are currently spending.
Q: How do I know when
it's time to upgrade?
A: When you start to notice some of the following:
- High service and supply cost of current system
- Inadequate service support
- Fluctuating copy quality
- Poor performance and more downtime
- Replacing inadequate printers
- Need to distribute through e-mail
- Need for increased productivity or speed
- Need for more color output
- Employee moral
Q: Why buy a digital
copier over a desktop printer?
A: A digital copier on your network improves functionality
and productivity, offering 11 x 17 printing, allowing you
to sort, staple and duplex print from your desktop, increasing
print speed as high as 85 ppm all at 1/3 the cost per print
of a desktop printer.
Q: How does a connected
copier save me money?
A: With the high cost of operation at 4.5¢ per print
for most network printers, a copier allows you to print
as low as 1.5¢ per print which includes all service
& toner costs.
Q: I'm out of toner,
where can I get more?

from the drop-down box, and a graphic will appear that shows

Q: I've lost my user
manual. How can I get another one?
A: Fortunately, most user manuals are available
online. You can print a copy of yours directly from Konica
Minolta's or Sharp Electronics' websites. If it isn't available
on the manufacturer's website, then you can call our office
to order another one. The manufacturer usually charges a
fee for replacement manuals.

Q: What are toner
pirates?
A: Toner pirates are fraudulent telemarketers who prey on
the vaivete of the new and unwary clerk to make sales or
send unordered, unauthorized or misrepresented supplies.
They often use illegal tactics, such as posing as your local
dealer (us!) or copier manufacturer (Konica/Minolta/Sharp)
when they call. Customers who fall for their tactics often
find the following:
- They receive toner they never ordered.
- They receive used or partially used toner.
- The prices are double or triple what we charge for
toner.
- The toner pirates' "case" contains two bottles
while the manufacturers' case contains six.
- The freight bill is over a hundred dollars for a two-pound
shipment.
We will occisionally call you for a meter reading. If
you want to verify that it is us calling you and not
a toner pirate, simply ask us for the serial number
of the machine. Only we can provide that to you.
Q: What can I do
if I've been frauded by a toner pirate?
A: Firstly, don't use the supplies. If there's
a packing list or invoice in the box, call the fradulent
company and tell them to issue a call tag and pick up the
supplies, as you 1)didn't order the supplies, or 2) were
sold the supplies under misleading conditions. Should they
argue with you, tell them you will be filing a mail fraud
complaint with the US Postal Inspection Service if they
do not arrange for pick up. The mention of this organization
is enough to turn many conversations around.
Train new office staff to watch out for these
unscrupulous telemarketers. Central Business Systems does
not solicit supply orders. No one from Central Business
System will call and try to sell you toner. Our clients
may call us and order supplies or fax a supply request at
the same time they fax their meter reading.
If you should get such a call, it's likely
you have a toner phoner on the line. They often use tactics
in which they call one day and ask one receptionist for
the model of the copier, then call back a few days later
and
- say they're from Central Business Systems or the manufacturer,
- have your model number (which you unwittingly gave
them the other day),
- mention there's been a price increase on toner, and
- say they've reserved some of the toner at the "old"
price for you because they didn't notify you of the
price change earlier.
If you have used the supplies, then your only
alternative will be to file a complaint. Report the fraud
to
